The Original Wood Ski Map Artists.
Creating handcrafted, wooden ski resort maps is a labor of love. Our dedicated ski map artists are passionate about the mountains they ride and are committed to creating ski trail maps that resonate with skiers, snowboarders, and adventure seekers alike.
The Torched Peaks ski map collection includes big and small ski resorts ranging from the mountains in Vermont, to the iconic destination resorts of California, Colorado, and Washington.
Each map is digitally rendered by analyzing satellite imagery, topographic maps, and aerial photography.
How wood ski resort maps are made.
The digital ski map artwork is influenced and designed by a team of skiers and snowboarders that live and breathe for mountain adventures. Artists add ski trails, chairlifts, terrain parks, and mountain points of interest.
Once the digital graphics are created, the file is then split and 'layered' into several art files which are used to create a unique 3D style.
3D Laser-engraved mountain art.
These intricate and complex design files are interpreted by laser technicians which then code the file. Files are sent to state-of-the-art lasers where natural wood is engraved, scored, and cut based on the technical specs of the file.
