The Original Wood Ski Map Artists.
Creating handcrafted, wooden ski resort maps is a labor of love. Our dedicated ski map artists are passionate about the mountains they ride and are committed to creating ski trail maps that resonate with skiers, snowboarders, and adventure seekers alike.
The Torched Peaks ski map collection includes big and small ski resorts ranging from the mountains in Vermont, to the iconic destination resorts of California, Colorado, and Washington.
Each mountain begins with SlopeTheory™—our research, design, and refinement process combining resort maps, Google Earth, satellite imagery, topography, photos, videos, and other mountain-specific references to understand the terrain before the artwork takes shape.

How wood ski resort maps are made.
The artwork is thoughtfully designed by our team of avid skiers and snowboarders, with ski trails, chairlifts, terrain parks, landmarks, and mountain-specific points of interest carefully incorporated into each design. Through SlopeTheory™, we work to capture not simply where things are, but the distinctive terrain and character that make each mountain recognizable.

Once the artwork is complete, the design is prepared for AlpineStrata™—our signature approach to building dimensional mountain art from precision-cut layers of natural wood.
