ABOUT US.

We create premium, handcrafted mountain art for skiers, snowboarders, and adventure seekers alike.

Located in picturesque Lake Tahoe, Torched Peaks is an independent brand and 100% of our products are designed and crafted in the United States.

Fusing time-honored woodworking techniques with our signature three-dimensional styling, our maps are intricate, unique, and refined.

We’ve had the pleasure of supplying art to prominent ski areas, pro athletes, ski and snowboard manufacturers, and die-hard ski bums alike.  In a day and age where art often takes a backseat to mass-produced imported products, Torched Peaks has arrived with a fresh approach to the age-old ski trail map.

WHO WE ARE.

ARTISTS.

MISSION.

To create mindful and timeless art that celebrates the essence and beauty of the mountains themselves.

INSPIRATION.

Located in Lake Tahoe, we're surrounded by some of the most iconic ski resorts on the planet - our basecamp fuels our inspiration.

Shawn Orecchio | Torched Peaks Founder

FOUNDER | DESIGNER

Shawn Orecchio

Shawn's passion for mountains began in 1984 when he was first introduced to the sport of snowboarding. After a stint riding professionally and traveling to resorts from coast-to-coast, Shawn landed in the ski industry and was responsible for designing ski trails, terrain parks, bike parks, and later launched mountain inspired brands and special events. His career path and passion for the mountain lifestyle was a natural progression and a perfect catalyst...

The concept for 3D Ski Trail maps and Torched Peaks was born.

"Skiers and snowboarders have a love affair with their favorite mountains," said Orecchio. "As a snowboarder, mountains are our canvas and a vehicle for self-expression. Torched Peaks was launched to give skiers and snowboarders a unique way to commemorate good times on their favorite mountains."

ABOUT THE ART // A Labor of love.

CARTOGRAPHY.

Each mountain is digitally rendered by our artists by analyzing topographic maps, satellite imagery, and aerial photography.

DESIGN.

Ski trails, chairlifts, statistics, and other artistic elements are digitally rendered then precision engraved into multiple wooden layers.

3D Mountain Art.

Mountain peaks, contours, elevations, and ski trails are visually enhanced by layering 6-10 levels of natural wood.

HANDCRAFTED.

Each map is carefully hand-assembled, glued, and placed into a sturdy, natural wood frame.
